UNCW Leadership Academy
The UNCW Leadership Academy is a comprehensive leadership development program designed for current and aspiring leaders. Led by experienced UNCW faculty and industry experts, the Academy offers flexible learning experiences that can be customized to meet the unique needs of your organization and delivered onsite or virtually.
Organizations may complete the full Leadership Academy, begin with a core leadership credential, or select individual workshops (typically four hours each) to address specific leadership development priorities. Participants who successfully complete a credential level receive a UNCW Certificate of Completion and a UNCW Digital Badge recognizing their achievement.
Leadership Credential Pathway
Organizations may begin with Core Leadership and continue through progressively broader levels of leadership development. Each level recognizes additional learning while providing organizations the flexibility to select workshops aligned with their workforce and leadership development priorities.
- Core Leadership – 16–20 contact hours
- Expanded Leadership – 32–40 cumulative contact hours
- Leadership Academy – 48–60 cumulative contact hours
This flexible pathway allows organizations to build leadership capacity over time while recognizing participant achievement at meaningful milestones along the way.
Individual workshops are also available à la carte and may be combined to create customized leadership development programs aligned with your organization's goals.
