The H. David and Diane Swain Center enhances the effectiveness of organizations through economic services, executive education and leadership development.

The Center’s activities benefit the Cameron School of Business through building strong industry-university connections. UNCW’s values of excellence, integrity, diversity, innovation and community engagement provide the foundation for the Swain Center.

The Swain Family

In 2009, David and Diane Swain donated $1,000,000 to the Cameron School of Business at UNCW. The existing Center for Business and Economic Services was renamed to the H. David and Diane Swain Center in honor of their gift. H. David Swain is the founder of Swain & Associates a developer of commercial income-producing properties in North and South Carolina. He and his wife proudly support numerous philanthropic causes.

The center has a long history of providing economic forecasts and impact studies. A regional economist is on our staff. The Economic Outlook Conference, held annually in the fall, is one of our signature events. A group of international experts along with a panel of experts provide economic insights and future trends
