Zack A Shail

Zack is a 2022 UNCW Alumnus now working for Research & Innovation in the Office of Innovation & Commercialization as the Commercialization Coordinator. He is dedicated to developing and maintaining relationships with UNCW Researchers, Faculty, and Students in order to support their research and help them succeed. His role is to assist with the core functions of the OIC involving invention disclosures, licensing, patents, and agreements.

Zack develops and implements marketing plans, including business development, sales, and lead generation efforts for prospective licensees and partners. He also works to develop relationships with industry and collaborate with regional and state economic development agencies and assists with screening agreements, collaborative/teaming agreements, material transfer agreements, and non-disclosure agreements.
