Karen D Lynden

Lecturer

Karen Lynden's teaching philosophy is centered on experiential and project-based learning within the international business and management disciplines. She brings with her 20+ years of higher education and industry experience. Organizations have relied on her to develop and lead successful global and domestic teams while managing a broad portfolio of client accounts and projects. Her experience includes creating and facilitating education abroad opportunities for students and faculty, as well as developing and executing organizational development and professional development programs. Dr. Lynden has led short-term student education abroad programs in Belgium, Thailand, and Poland. She has provided supervision and mentorship for CSB students invited to attend regional Academy of International Business Symposia.

Dr. Lynden has participated in the X-Culture project for over a decade now (2014-). X-Culture is a large-scale project that connects students from different countries to work in global virtual teams (GVTs) and complete an international business project with corporations, learning in the process the challenges and best practices of global cross-cultural collaboration and how to navigate diverse markets. In addition to embedding X-Culture in MGT-352, where 200+ CSB students have earned X-Culture Global Collaboration Certificates (2022-current), and she maintains several leadership and service roles within the X-Culture project research and teaching community.
