Leslie Ruth Douglas

Academic Advisor

Leslie is an Academic Advisor within the College of Humanities, Social Sciences, and the Arts and a UNI Seminar Instructor who uses a holistic, belonging-centered approach to support transfer students in navigating their academic journeys. A former high school dropout and adult learner who began her college career later in life, she brings a deeply empathetic, student-centered perspective to advising and teaching.

She holds a bachelor's degree in Anthropology and an M.Ed. in Higher Education from UNCW, with prior experience in the Business Offices at UNCW and CFCC, and as a Graduate Assistant in the Office of International Students and Scholars, giving her a strong understanding of the academic and financial systems that impact students.
