The mission of the College of Humanities, Social Sciences, and the Arts (CHSSA) Academic Resource Center (ARC) is to champion students as they navigate their collegiate experience.
- The ARC values student empowerment, personal advocacy, and educational equity.
- The ARC staff provides advising support, academic coaching, and referral information.
- Our aim is to develop an atmosphere that embraces student diversity, a sense of belonging, and innovation.
By fall 2025, all students in CHSSA will be assigned a professional advisor in the ARC and will work with faculty mentors in their academic department. This year, to develop best practices for this new exciting initiative, the ARC and several departments are piloting this approach. The final departments will join over the summer.
