Academic Advisor
Donesha joined the College of Humanities, Social Sciences, and the Arts (CHSSA) in June 2024 as an academic advisor. Since 2018, she has been a dynamic force at UNCW, engaging in various roles and offices with enthusiasm. Her journey at UNCW commenced in the Registrar’s Office, where she thrived as the Front Office Liaison and Records Specialist. In 2021, she transitioned to the role of student success advisor within the College of Health and Human Services (CHHS), providing guidance to both graduate and undergraduate students.
As a first-generation college student with a passion for education, Donesha brings a wealth of experience and dedication to her role. She is committed to empowering students to achieve their academic goals. She leads with authenticity and transparency, employing a collaborative governance approach to assist students in navigating their academic, personal, and professional endeavors. Donesha is dedicated to removing obstacles that hinder student success, ensuring they have the support and resources needed to thrive both academically and personally.
