Active Attacker Training
About
This mandatory employee training provides a comprehensive overview of critical safety steps the UNCW community should take in the event of an active attacker situation. The training outlines the Run, Hide, Fight emergency response recommended by federal, state and local first responders, including the UNCW Police Department. Essential information about the Seahawk Warning Siren System and UNCWAlert communication tools is also featured. The module includes several supplemental elements for your review, including a PowerPoint presentation based on the video’s key concepts, a printable poster that outlines the Run, Hide, Fight concept; and additional resources from FEMA and the Department of Homeland Security. UPD and the Office of University Relations collaborated to develop this training module for UNCW employees.
