Faculty: Secure Your Spot in the Generative AI for Teaching Bootcamp

We’re excited to offer faculty a free, practical and engaging Generative AI for Teaching Bootcamp through the Microsoft Learn for Educators (MSLE) program. Hosted by ITS in collaboration with the Center for Teaching Excellence, UNCW Library and Distance Education and eLearning, this bootcamp is designed to help you explore practical ways to integrate AI into your teaching, enhance student engagement and build confidence using emerging tools in the classroom.

What to Expect from the Bootcamp

Experts from Microsoft and our vendor, Black Dog Black Cat, will guide you in using generative AI for your teaching to boost student engagement, improve teaching effectiveness and streamline your instructional workload.

Bootcamp Highlights:

  • Six‑hour, in-person session broken into four focused parts.
  • Hands‑on learning with interactive demos and practical activities using Microsoft Copilot.
  • Receive a Certificate of Participation that documents the associated professional development (PD) hours.
  • Designed for higher education, with practical ways to use AI in lesson planning, assessment design, and instructional communication.
  • Build skills in prompt design and evaluating AI outputs.
  • Supports ethical use of AI in the classroom by exploring responsible practices and thoughtful decision-making.
