Activities
Personal Data Crush
Have an old personal hard drive or flash drive you no longer need? Bring it to Techsgiving and watch as we crush it on the spot. Destroying old data helps protect your personal information and prevents sensitive files from being recovered later. Please note that UNCW devices or data are not permitted for crushing.
Surplus Drive
Faculty and staff, bring your old UNCW devices to us, and we will handle the surplus process for you. It has never been easier to retire outdated equipment. Plus, enjoy a little friendly competition. The area that surpluses the most equipment wins cookies.
Data Center Tours
Get an inside look at the heart of UNCW’s computing operations. Learn how campus buildings are connected, how data is stored and protected, and what keeps university systems running securely.
There will be two tours at 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. You can meet us at the event to walk over together, or join us directly in the Hoggard Hall atrium.
If you are walking with the group, please be at the event and ready to walk by 11:15 a.m. or 2:15 p.m.
Games, Snacks & Free Stuff
We will be out there all day. Stop by to chat with our team, grab some snacks, play a few games and pick up free swag. We cannot wait to see you there Seahawks!
