Thank you to everyone who participated in our recent evaluation of Adobe use on campus. Your feedback helped guide the development of our new licensing model that supports our current needs while accommodating future university growth.
We are pleased to share that UNCW has successfully updated the Adobe license agreement, with changes taking effect between 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. on July 21. While there have been a few updates, we are proud to remain one of the few universities that continues to offer Adobe at no additional cost to students, faculty and staff.
What's Included in the New Contract
- Adobe Express: Available to all students, faculty and staff. Learn more about Adobe Express!
- Adobe Acrobat: Included for all faculty, staff and shared devices where already installed
- Adobe Creative Cloud:
- Available to 25% of faculty and staff
- Available to 50% of students
- Included for all classroom & lab machines where already installed
What You Need to Know
Faculty & Staff
- Adobe Express will be available to all.
- Adobe Creative Cloud will continue to function in classrooms and labs.
- For current Creative Cloud users:
- Your accounts will be migrated automatically.
- While we aim to maintain uninterrupted access to Adobe Express and Creative Cloud applications, please be aware that some temporary downtime may be possible between 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. on July 21.
- If you are unable to log in after July 21, please submit an Adobe Account and Training Request.
Students
- Adobe Express will be available to all.
- Students who need an Adobe Creative Cloud License, please submit an Adobe Account and Training Request.
