SeaNet Retires as We Complete the Transition to Banner 9

Rest Easy, Everything You Need Will Be in mySeaport

As we continue to make significant progress with the Banner 9 upgrade, we’re entering the final phase, which includes an important change. On July 31, SeaNet will be retired.

You can rest easy knowing that all the tools and links you currently use in SeaNet will be available in mySeaport, offering a more streamlined and user-friendly experience through the university portal. This transition comes ahead of the end of vendor support for Banner 8 on Sept. 30, 2025. Over the past few years, key services like finance, employee and faculty modules have already been using Banner 9 and are accessible in mySeaport. Only a few remain as we complete the upgrade on July 31.

Key Enhancements in Banner 9:

  • Modernized user interface
  • Improved navigation and process management tools
  • PINs are no longer required to submit your leave report
  • New functionality for student, employee, and faculty features
  • Greater flexibility with the ability to run Banner in any browser and on tablets
