Last year, we launched the Technology Inventory Management System (TIMS), and with the help of Asset Coordinators across campus, UNCW achieved an 87% verification rate. Thank you so much for your efforts!
Take Action: Annual Asset Verification Begins in April
This year’s computer asset verification starts in April. At that time, all assets in TIMS will reset to an unverified state, and you will need to re-verify your department's assets. The resources below can help with the process:

Key Dates
- April 1, 2025: All assets in TIMS will reset to unverified.
- June 30, 2025: ITS encourages coordinators to complete asset verification by this date to support the computer lifecycle evaluation process.
What's New in TIMS?
Thanks to your feedback, TIMS has improved response times, an updated gallery view displaying more assets, and enhanced filtering options for easier navigation. We've also added a new required field to the verification form to help keep university data protected and compliant.
Annual Asset Verification Matters
Regular verification ensures accurate inventory data, prevents asset loss, and supports efficient resource planning for the university. Keeping records updated helps ITS make informed decisions about technology upgrades and replacements.
We appreciate your continued support in keeping UNCW’s technology inventory accurate and up to date!
