Based on National Weather Service Wilmington reports, conditions are expected to improve through Sunday, July 6, as Tropical Storm Chantal moves past the Wilmington area, although rip currents/dangerous surf conditions remain active at area beaches.
At this time, the university plans to maintain its normal operating schedule. This is the last planned message about Tropical Storm Chantal, but if weather conditions change significantly, the university will send additional information as needed.
Be Safe, Seahawks
As a reminder, please be mindful of your personal safety during and immediately after stormy weather. Allow extra time to navigate to, from, and around campus and affected communities. Do not drive through standing water or enter stormwater runoff, which may be contaminated or hazardous. Stay alert to your surroundings when walking or driving across campus. Pay attention to surf conditions, rip currents and guidance from emergency personnel at area beaches.
