This pilot initiative worked to improve intentionality in the Special Collections student experience by transforming the student worker position into a paid internship opportunity. This project developed structure that will provide a meaningful learning environment, a sustainable internship model that Special Collections can repeat in future semesters, and provided a model which other departments in Randall Library can emulate in their own internship experiences.

This applied learning project supported ENG 319: Document Design's goal to explore strategies for composing effective print and digital documents for different audiences. Additionally, this built connections with nCino, a local multi-national software company. Students presented design documents and explainted, to the nCino stakeholders, how document design works in multi-national corporations.
