What are LLCs?

Living Learning Communities (LLCs) are small communities where students attend courses as a cohort, engage in group activities and events, and may live together.

 

Examples of Living Learning Communities at UNCW

Fall 2014, Spring 2015. Funded in part through a Pedagogy Initiative Award

Hollywood East was an arts-oriented community for new students with creative interests and who seek to develop their knowledge and skills in the areas of art, music, creative writing, theatre/acting and/or film/television production.

Fall 2014, Spring 2015. Funded in part through Pedagogy Initiative Award

Waterways operated as a science-oriented community for new students with interests and who sought to develop their knowledge and skills in the areas marine science, ecology, biology, marine biology, the ocean, sustainability, climatology, the weather, and related topics.
