Through events, orientations, and affinity groups, the Development and Operations Committee (DOC) helps turn colleagues into a connected community.

Overview

The DOC enhances connection and collaboration across the division by coordinating key operational events and community-building initiatives. The committee leads quarterly Division Meetings and monthly New Employee Orientations, ensuring consistent communication and onboarding support. Additionally, the committee manages Seahawk Circles - affinity groups designed to foster professional development and engaging community-building around shared roles and experiences. Through these efforts, the committee supports a stronger, more informed, and more connected divisional culture.

Core Initiatives
  • Division Meetings - Organize meetings that focus on department updates and presentations that help inform the work of Student Affairs and the University. 
  • New Employee Orientation - Coordinate and facilitate this program on a monthly basis.
  • Seahawk Circles - Create, manage, and support this initiative of affinity groups.
