UNCW generally follows the guidelines in the Associated Press Stylebook (AP Style).

Web Exception: Bullets

When writing for the web, conventional styles can flex a bit. You can start a bullet with a numeral instead of writing the number out.

However, you should include at least three bullets in a bulleted list. If you only have two elements, consider another format.

Keep Your Content Up-to-Date

Out-of-date content breaks the user’s trust. Within the university’s website governance plan, all pages will have a specified review cycle.

Content managers will be notified by email when their pages are due for review. Note that this is a minimum review cycle; web content should be reviewed on more frequently to keep content fresh and engaging.
