Event planning can seem like an overwhelming task and the Business Core Service Team is here to make the event planning process as simple as possible. Before completing the CHHS Events and Reservations Request Form to request support for your next event, please review these FAQs that address common questions and includes pricing information as you develop the budget for your event.
I would like to serve food at my event. Am I required to use campus catering (Aramark)?
With the exception of pizza orders, any food orders over $100.00 must be ordered from Aramark. Aramark has the right of first refusal and must be consulted regarding any food for events. In special circumstances, Aramark does allow event hosts to bring in food that is donated by outside vendors with prior approval. The UNCW Catering office offers a wide variety of options including more budget-friendly options for on or off campus events like receptions, and retreats. In addition to food, catering offers rentals for linens, china, and specialty event items. Important notes regarding catering at your event:

I have off-campus guests attending my event. How do I arrange for parking?
If your event is open to the public or will have attendees coming from off campus we will need to organize appropriate parking. Requests should be submitted via the CHHS Events & Reservations Form. For CHHS Events taking place in McNeill Hall or Veterans Hall, visitor parking is typically assigned to the first floor of the East Parking Deck and Lot FF (adjacent to Wagoner Hall). View these spaces on the UNCW campus map here.
Parking Services requires notification from the CHHS Events Coordinator 14 days prior to the event. Individual parking passes for events/meetings with fewer than 10 guests are available from your individual departmental admins. The Events Coordinator will coordinate the group rate for your event. For more information, visit the Parking Office’s website.
Am I required to host my on-campus event in one of the spaces managed by CHHS?
No. CHHS faculty, staff and students hosting events are free to host their event at any available space on campus. Keep in mind that those facilities directly managed by CHHS (McNeill Hall, Veterans Hall, Hanover Gym, portions of Trask and the CHHS Courtyard) do offer increased flexibility in terms of set-up because our staff have more control over the spaces. For a complete listing of available spaces on campus please visit UNCW's Campus Reservation System. You will need to login using your UNCW credentials.
What technology and/or audiovisual services are available to me when hosting an event?
Although individual spaces on campus have varying technological capabilities, generally the following services are available in spaces on campus:
I have an event that is unique in nature. Are there any special permits required for these types of events?
