Student Forms
May 1, 2019
Our Student Forms Hygge focused the role of the AAO Logistics and Data Management Operations team (LDM) in this process with an overview of each type of student form (waiver/substitution, DIS, internship enrollment, permission to enroll in a graduate course, class/time conflict, US petition). We also covered signatory authority and the facilitation/routing of each form, as well as the follow-up tracking and reporting LDM does for all forms. Special guest Mark Forbes provided information about how advisors initiate student forms.
Presentation materials are below, including signatory authority, LDM Operations student form review process, and instructions for electronic signatures in Adobe documents. Please see the Registrar's Online Forms webpage for current versions of each form.

Curriculum/Curriculog & Canvas
January 30, 2019
Our Curriculum/Curriculog & Canvas Hygge focused on curriculum review processes pertinent to any curriculum changes to the 2020-2021 catalog. We also shared the latest information on Curriculog, how its implementation will impact our internal curricular processes, and future trainings CHHS will be offering. Special guests Sheri Conklin and Tom Dorgan led a question and answer forum about Canvas for our faculty and staff.
Key takeaways from the Canvas forum:
- Everyone (faculty and students) is encouraged to use the 24-hour Help Chat feature. For additional support, see the Canvas community website and the Canvas Help Hotline.
- Data will be removed from Canvas after 3 years, so DOWNLOAD grades and other data that affects accreditation reporting.
- Please give ITS an 8-12 week lead time to get any third party tools approved for use in your course. It takes that much time to ensure the tool is secure and adheres to all system and institutional policies. Note that third party tools do not have UNCW technical support structures.
