Environmental Health & Safety Training

New Employee Orientation

New employees are required to complete three online EHS training courses.

  • UNCW Emergency Action Plan (EAP)
  • Fire Extinguisher Safety
  • Hazard Communication Overview (Note: Based on job duties, some employees may be required to take full course and not overview.)

Depending on your role at UNCW, you may be required to complete additional EH&S training programs, such as handling hazardous materials or blood-borne pathogens.

Talk to your supervisor to find out if you are required to complete additional training!

Online training

How to Complete the Training Programs

 

  1. Login to MySeaport
  2. Click “ Employee Essentials” tab
  3. Click on "Training Resources" in the drop down menu
  4. Click on Environmental Health & Safety under the "Targeted Training Sites" tab. If you do not have access, please email David Todd and ask to be added to the system. Be sure to include your 850# and start date!
  5. Once signed in, complete all Required Courses listed under the “Welcome” screen. For all other courses, click the “View Catalog” tab and enter course name into search box.
