We’re so excited to welcome you to UNCW as a permanent employee! There are some things you need to do before you get here:
Required Tasks
1. Complete your I-9 Form
This process is completed online. You will receive an email from Human Resources to initiate this process. Once you receive this email, please read it carefully and follow the instructions promptly.
Sometime before your start date, you'll receive an email from the Onboarding Center with your UNCW ID# and email address. From there, you'll receive a follow-up email with instructions on setting up your email account. Please be sure to read these emails carefully and follow the instructions promptly.
If you don't get the follow-up email with instructions on setting up your email account, contact UNCW's Technology Assistance Center.
3. Talk to your supervisor
To ensure you have a great first day, connect with your supervisor or departmental administrative assistant if you have any questions.
Helpful Resources
Some other things that may be helpful for you to look into before you arrive include:
Parking
You should know that all faculty and staff members are expected to pay for parking on campus and park in staff parking spaces. New employees should wait to register their vehicles until their first or second day, but no later than the end of their first week through the Parking Portal in MySeaport.
TIP: Use your UNCW account for the parking portal-do not your personal email account.
Visit the parking office or email the parking office if you have any additional questions or if you get a parking ticket before you have had a chance to register your vehicle in your first week.
One Card
Your UNCW One Card is the official form of identification on campus and it allows you smooth sailing access to a world of university services and events. You'll go to Auxiliary Services in the Warwick Center to get your UNCW One Card during your first week. Please contact us if you have any questions.
Campus map
Not sure where your building is? Or maybe you're wondering how on earth you get to the Warwick Center to pick up your One Card? Check out our interactive campus map to help you navigate during your first few das on campus.
