Classification & Compensation

The Classification and Compensation team operates according to specifics schedules and deadlines.

UNCW Payroll Schedule

The deadline for salary actions each month depends on the Payroll Office's schedule. (See their 'Payroll Periods' section.) That day may vary because all permanent employees are paid on the last working day of the month. 

Generally, the C&C deadline will be between the 12th and the 14th of the month. December can serve as an exception. Please ask your C&C Consultant or Business Officer for the exact date.

UNC System Office & BOG Consultation Schedule

For actions needing UNCSO/BOG approval please adhere to the deadlines.

Timelines for Position and Salary Requests

For salary or position actions which require full committee on university personnel (CUP, previously called P&T Review:

The deadline for institutions to submit requests requiring Board CUP review is generally 21 days prior to the Tuesday of the week the Board is meeting. Please be aware that at the Board’s request, there is very little flexibility for late submissions.
