The integrated approach of this course targets all four language skills (reading, writing, speaking, and listening) through creative and engaging content. Students will learn grammar and vocabulary through the course’s two major themes: Welcome to Wilmington! and Food Cultures Around the World. Students will get both a local perspective (Wilmington) and a global perspective (food cultures) through interactive materials and activities delivered via UNCW’s online platform, Canvas. Students will be assessed based upon participation, homework assignments, formal assessments, and end-of-unit projects.
