        3. GPA:  Overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.  A GPA as low as 2.75 will be considered on a case-by-case basis with acceptable GRE or MAT score.
        4. Resume:  1-page clinical work-history resume.
        5. Include on Resume:  Include successful completion of academic credits in undergraduate community health, health and physical assessment, nursing research, and statistics.

      Additional Requirements

        1. Master’s Degree in Nursing: Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.  (Master’s degree in Nursing Leadership and Management preferred, but applicants with an MS in a nursing specialty other than leadership will also be considered.)  Applicants with a BSN degree and a master’s in a non-nursing, health-related field (MBA, MPH, MHA, MMHC, etc.) are also eligible to apply for the DNP Executive Leadership Track.
        2. RN License:  Current unrestricted registered nurse (RN) license in the state in which practice will occur.
        3. GPA:  GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) or higher on all previous graduate coursework as documented
          by official transcripts with evidence of completion of graduate degree.
        4. Curriculum Vitae or Resume:  If applicable, include verification of practicum hours completed during previous graduate degree.  In order to complete the DNP program, all students are expected to have 1000 post-baccalaureate practice hours. If students do not have verified 500 practice hours in their prior master’s program, the student will need to complete additional hours to meet the 1000 hour graduation requirement. (Preference given to applicants with 2 or more years of post-master’s leadership.)
        5. Include on CV/Resume:  Successful completion of graduate statistics (this requirment is completed as part of UNCW's DNP program) and nursing research courses prior to joining the program.
        6. Essay:  Written essay addressing your advanced practice expertise, career goals, how earning the
          DNP will promote these goals, and description of DNP project topic area limited to 600 words.

        3. APRN:  Advanced Practice RNs (APRN) must have current national certification and be licensed and
          approved to practice as an APRN in their state of residence and currently employed in an advanced
          practice role.
        4. GPA:  GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) or higher on all previous graduate coursework as documented by
          official transcripts with evidence of completion of graduate level pathophysiology, pharmacology, and
          advanced physical assessment courses from a regionally accredited school.

        b. Your potential match with specific faculty, and with our program's training model (i.e., the scientist-practitioner model) in terms of your interests and career/professional goals.

      3. Prerequisites:  Major of psychology or at least 21 hours of psychology with a GPA of at least 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) with evidence of a grade of at least a B- in a course in statistics and a grade of at least a B in a course in psychology research methods.
      4. Note:  Individuals can apply to the Psychological Science or the Applied Behavioral Analysis concentrations, if they have a master’s in Psychology. At this time, individuals cannot apply to the General Clinical concentration if they have a master’s in Psychology.
