The Electronic Journal Entry
All Journal Entries (JEs) must be submitted electronically using the template provided, in addition to sending a single, signed pdf copy of the JE and all related backup. Both items should be sent to generalaccounting@uncw.edu.
Please make sure the Journal Entry is complete with fund and account numbers, a detailed description in the top section, and as much detail as can fit in the line by line sections (35 characters maximum). Always reference an identifying number if moving something that has already occurred, such as a J#, U#, F#, or T#. Please reference the Electronic Journal Entry Procedure document below for more information.
A class on Journal Entries (ACT301) is offered every other month and provides guidance on how to prepare and submit JEs as well as the policies and procedures regarding the process. You can register online for this course through Finance Training.
