2017 SECU Public Service Interns Announced

The University of North Carolina Wilmington is pleased to announce 20 undergraduate students who have been selected to participate in the State Employees Credit Union (SECU) Public Service Internship Program for summer 2017. The SECU Public Internship program at UNCW offers full-time, paid summer internships at nonprofits and local government offices in rural communities in Onslow, Pender, and Brunswick counties. The program is a joint effort of the Office of Community Engagement, the UNCW Career Center, QENO (Quality Enhancement for Nonprofit Organizations) and North Carolina SECU Foundation.

These 20 students, selected in a competitive process, will work through the Career Center’s Certified Internship Program (CIP). The CIP structures their work experiences to maximize learning and helps students express to future employers how their internship helped prepare them for the jobs they seek after college.
