Office of Community Engagement at UNCW

Welcome to the Office of Community Engagement. This office was established in 2015 within the Division of Academic Affairs, building upon the legacy of the Office of Community Partnerships that had been operating out of the Chancellor's Office. The new Office of Community Engagement was developed to be a conduit for relationships between university faculty, staff, and students and our local, regional, state, national, and international partners. These engaged partnerships and projects further the university mission of learning, research, and service.

Overseen by Dr. Lori Messinger, Associate Vice Chancellor for Community Engagement, the office includes Continuing & Professional Education, the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI), and Quality Enhancement of Nonprofit Organizations (QENO). The success of the office rests on the hard work of the outstanding staff from these units, exceptional support staff, and the active participation of members of an engagement advisory board comprised of university faculty, staff, and students and community partners from university alumni, K-12 schools, and military, business, nonprofit, and religious organizations.

Please look around our site and learn more about the wonderful engagement work being done across the university, in our local and regional community, and throughout the world.
