Seahawksuccessad.JPGWhat is the Seahawk Success Program?

The Seahawk Success Program has been developed to help former students come back and finish their degrees at UNCW.  A benefit to this program is that before you formally re-apply, you can meet with a Seahawk Success Advisor to make the process easier and answer your initial questions.  The Seahawk Success Advisor can help determine the best degree completion pathway for you.

To qualify for the Seahawk Success Program, you must:

  • Have been previously enrolled as a degree-seeking student at UNCW
  • Have completed at least 70 hours of college credit
  • Have been away from UNCW for at least one year
  • Be in good academic, disciplinary, and financial standing

Thinking about returning but have some questions?

If you are interested in exploring this opportunity and would like to talk to someone before starting the process of re-enrolling, please fill out this quick survey.  After that, the Seahawk Success Advisor will contact you to set up a convenient time to have a meeting or a telephone call to begin looking at possible options for you to return to UNCW.

Things to discuss during your initial meeting:

  • Your academic record, including possible coursework taken at other institutions.
  • Do you wish to continue in your previous major, or are you interested in pursuing a different degree/career path?
  • When you might want to return to school.
  • Taking classes full time or part-time?
  • Do you want to take face to face classes or explore online options?
  • Time needed to complete your degree of choice.
  • Begin to map out potential hours needed to complete your degree of choice.
  • Questions or concerns you may have about resuming your education.
  • The advisor will help reach out to other departments on campus to answer some of your questions or coordinate services for when you return.  Some of these offices may include:
