Summer Intern Housing is available May 20 until July 30, 2023.

Summer intern housing is available to non-UNCW students, 18 and older, who are currently enrolled in a college/university program and are in the Wilmington area for an internship or educational opportunity, or  employment.

For UNCW students who need summer housing, please contact Housing & Residence Life for arrangements.   

accommodations

Summer interns will be housed in one of our air-conditioned Seahawk Apartments (Seahawk Crossing, Seahawk Landing, or Seahawk Village).  Campus apartments are equipped with a full kitchen, living room, individual bedrooms, and washer/dryer in each unit. Summer interns will have access to UNCW guest wi-fi and apartments have cable hook-ups. 

Each apartment complex has its own main office or front desk that is staffed throughout the summer for any guest needs that may arise.   

Summer interns will share an apartment with other students and are responsible for providing their own bed and bath linens, TV/electronics, cookware, laundry supplies, and any other needed items for their stay.

$31.00 per person per night

$20 per person for UNCW One Card (university identification)  

If an intern needs to cancel their reservations prior to their arrival to campus, a $100 cancellation fee will be applied, and they will be refunded.   If for any reason, a student intern needs to vacate housing, there will be a charge for the prorated fee plus a $100 cancellation fee. 

If bringing a car to campus, summer interns will need to purchase a parking permit through UNCW Parking Services.  UNCW is by permit, only.    For more information on parking permits and to purchase, please contact UNCW Parking directly.

If interested, summer dining plans are available through UNCW Dining.    

**If your internship location/employer/advisor will be paying for your summer housing, please have them contact CER directly to make housing arrangements.  If they are paying for your housing, you do not need to complete the inquiry form below.  This form is for students who will pay for their own summer housing. **

CER will review your inquiry and letter. If there are any questions about your responses, you will be contacted via email. Please note that CER will contact your supervisor to confirm your opportunity.
CER will email you an agreement within (7) business days of receipt of your inquiry.
Students will review, sign, and return the contract to clconferences@uncw.edu within (14) business days of receipt of the agreement.
Payment in full for the length of the stay is due within (14) days of receipt of the agreement Please not that we cannot accommodate payment plans at this time. Payment can be made via credit card or check.
Checks should be made payable to UNCW. If in the Wilimington area, checks may be dropped of at the Conferences, Events, and Reservations office located in the Fisher University Union, Suite 2015. CER will confirm receipt of your signed agreement and payment via email.
You’re all set! CER will email you at least two weeks prior to arrival with your housing assignment and other helpful information to help you prepare for your stay. If there are questions or concerns in the meantime, please contact CER.
