Financial Navigation: Using the Purchasing Card plus New Seahawk Travel & Expense Management Systems

We will show you how a purchasing card can add value to your day with flexibility and speed. Bank of America’s reconciliation system, WORKS, is up and active and can help you keep your bearings. WORKS has reports to help you research and find safe harbor. The purchasing card is in uShop for Staples now, Amazon Business next and who knows what’s over the horizon! Then, soar with your fellow Seahawks to learn more about the new Seahawk Travel and Expense Management System. We are excited that the new system will include both travel and electronic accounts payable check requests. Throughout the session, we will explore the benefits and features the new system has to offer.

Identity Theft/Cybersecurity: Reducing your Vulnerability to the Crimes of the 21st Century

US Bureau of Justice statistics estimate that 17.6 million Americans were victims of identity theft in 2014. This ranges from stolen credit card information to multiple types of theft affecting all aspects of the victim’s life. Additionally, in April 2016, Computer Weekly reported that a quarter of cyber threats targeting internet users involved ransomware, a dangerous attack that renders the data on your computer unusable. These crimes are truly becoming the crimes of the century. Join officers from University Police and members of the ITS Cybersecurity team in a discussion on how to protect your identity, reduce your online risk, and also protect the university’s cyber assets.

Notoriously, performance reviews are known for being a one-sided discussion and stuck in the past. The new SHRA Talent Management Program allows leaders and employees to apply generationally-friendly strategies to the process. As an employee being evaluated, come and learn how to be proactive and plan for your future using tools and resources designed to empower you prior to your formal performance review. Chart your course for success and gain strategies on how to best communicate your insights and ideas with your supervisor. Remember, every person drives results. Healthy Eating is the First Step on the Wellness Path

Good nutrition can be hard to come by when dining out, but there are numerous healthy alternatives on campus. Join the campus dietician and Auxiliary Services and Aramark leadership for an engaging session on nutrition basics, making good food choices and the various options available on campus.
