The Finance section of the Division of Business Affairs supports the university mission, strategic vision, goals, and objectives by providing key financial services efficiently and effectively.

As part of the University of North Carolina Wilmington and the University of North Carolina system, the Finance section strives to maintain strong fiscal management while seeking effective methods to improve financial services to the university community. 

Our Departments

Accounting & Controller The Office of the Controller records, reports and safeguards UNCW’s fiscal assets. Through its General Accounting department, it preserves the integrity of the university’s general ledger and cash management. Find Out More
Budget, Planning & Analysis This department provides budgetary support to the entire university, so the continuing development of students, faculty and staff is ensured with funds from both public and private sources. Find Out More

Purchasing Services Purchasing Services helps university departments get the best products and services at a low price and when they need them, all within the constraints of state purchasing requirements. Find Out More
Student Accounts Student Account Services helps students meet their financial responsibilities to attend UNCW. The department also provides all receipting as a cash repository for its UNCW campus partners. Visit Student Accounts
