Our Bachelor of Science in Workforce Learning & Development is a flexible, online accelerated program designed for working individuals. If you are a Community College Instructor looking to hone your teaching/training skills, earn a bachelor’s degree to climb the academic ladder, and boost your career, this major is perfect for you. What’s more, many community colleges will reimburse instructors for the cost of tuition and provide a salary increase once the degree is attained!

Distinctive Program Features

  • 7-week asynchronous courses for self-paced learning with due dates
  • Up to 24 hours of course credits for your work experience and previously completed professional development
  • Hands-on learning experiences are offered throughout the program
  • The program is designed based on Quality Matters standards as well as the Talent Development Capacity Model
  • Responsive faculty and staff with expertise in adult learning/training and online teaching
  • Courses will help you develop skills in training and course design, training facilitation and teaching, adult learning, classroom management, project management, as well as communication and writing.
  • Support & resources including personalized advising and mentoring, writing tutoring, etc.

Important Dates

As an Online Accelerated Program (OAP), our Workforce Learning & Development program helps you complete your graduation requirements in less time. The OAP schedule includes two 7-week sessions in each semester, totaling 6 sessions each academic year. Students have the flexibility to begin the program during any of our six sessions and complete the program at their own pace!

  • Fall 1 & 2: August - December
  • Spring 1 & 2: January - May
  • Summer 1 & 2: May - August
