The OTL minor provides access to the benefits of our nationally-ranked Master of Science in Instructional Technology program, alongside your primary undergraduate degree. As you progress through your OTL minor courses, you will learn how to develop online course materials, how technology can be used to teach both synchronous and asynchronous courses, and how to modify face-to-face materials for an online environment.
With courses based on the NCDPI Teaching and Learning Standards, you will study digital teaching and learning pedagogies, tools and resources for effective instruction, digital citizenship, and the effective use of data and assessment. With this knowledge, you will be better equipped throughout your professional career as an educator to:
