Career Paths for this Degree Include:

Business Analysts work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and help organizations improve their processes. In addition they may be responsible for designing and implementing technology solutions to solve business problems.
IS Managers oversee an organization's technology infrastructure ensuring IT systems are robust, secure, and aligned with business objectives. They determine IT needs and implement computer system as well as create IT policies and procedures.
Software Developers design and develop software applications that meet the needs of organizations. They work to identify requirements and develop software solutions that meet those requirements.
Project Managers are responsible for leading teams and managing projects from start to finish. They ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the needs of the organization.
Data Analysts gather, reorganize and clean data as necessary from primary and secondary sources. They interpret patterns and trends in structured data sets and extract actionable business insights and present findings and communicate those to key stakeholders.

  • MIS 316  -  Business Application Development
  • MIS 323  -  Business Telecommunications and Enabling Technologies 
  • MIS 411  -  Information Systems Analysis 
  • MIS 413  -  Systems Design/Capstone Project  
  • MIS 480  -  IT Resource Planning and Management 
Plus, choose two courses from the following:
  • Any MIS course at 300-level or higher
  • ACG 306  -  Accounting Information Systems 
  • BAN 305  -  Introduction to Business Analytics 
  • CIT 410  -  Web Application Development 
  • CIT 425  -  Human-Computer Interfaces 
  • CYBR 201  -  Fundamentals of Cybersecurity 
  • SCM 375  -  Quality Management
