Educational Learning Community
The Education Learning Community is designed for first-year students who are excited to explore the field of education while building meaningful connections on campus. Through a blend of on-campus and off-campus activities, students will deepen their self-awareness and personal identity, strengthen their academic and intellectual skills, and begin developing a strong professional identity as future educators.
Participants will engage in collaborative experiences that foster community‑building, teamwork, and a shared sense of purpose. They will also participate in learning opportunities that promote civic engagement and social responsibility, encouraging students to understand their role as active contributors to educational and local communities. Together, these experiences provide a supportive, engaging environment where first-year students can grow personally, academically, and professionally as they begin their educational journey.
*There is no additional cost associated with the Watson College of Education Learning Community beyond the standard room and board rates.
