The Watson College of Education's National Board Support Program will host initial candidate support sessions. A National Board Certified Teacher will facilitate the sessions.
Sessions include a network of trained NBCTs to assist in facilitating small group work, act as readers to review candidate entries, and are an opportunity to work with other candidates in an informal setting for professional growth!
You can register for all sessions or individual sessions. Please note the registration deadline one week prior to each session. Initial candidates are encouraged to attend the first three sessions and any additional component specific sessions. Candidates in their second or third year of initial candidacy are encouraged to register for sessions related to the components they are submitting.

January 20, 2024- Component 3 Deep Dive
February 17, 2024- Component 4 Deep Dive
March 16, 2024- Component 2 Deep Dive
April 20, 2024- Component 1, Submission, and Scoring Deep Dive
Choose the session package or individual sessions you plan to attend and click the ENROLL button. If you have never registered for a course/session through UNCW conference services you will need to create an account.
Once an account is created you will be able to enroll in the sessions by adding them to your cart and completing payment. You will receive an automated email confirmation of your payment and registration once your enrollment is complete. Confirmation with additional information will be emailed to you during the week prior to your session.
Registration will open in August!
Registration will CLOSE ONE WEEK PRIOR to each session and we will NOT be able to process onsite registration or payment. Thank you for your cooperation!
