The Department of Theatre and the Department of Music are excited to advertise auditions for the Musical Head Over Heels, featuring the music of the Go-Gos.
Head Over Heels follows the escapades of a royal family on an outrageous journey to save their beloved kingdom from extinction—only to discover the key to their realm's survival lies within each of their own hearts. This hilarious musical mixes the songs and sounds of the 1980’s with a retelling of a 16th century prose romance. The show celebrates Love in all of its incarnations, LGBTQ+ identity, and the multiplicity of the human experience.
We will be casting 8 principal roles and up to 8 chorus roles, along with understudies. Please come to the audition with 32 bars of your favorite upbeat 80’s pop song or a Broadway selection. Please have a backing track to accompany you. More details can be found on the audition signup page.
Please read section below regarding staged intimacy in the show.
Auditions will take place Saturday August 24 starting at 2 p.m. Arrive at least 15 minutes before your assigned time, already warmed-up and prepared to audition. Check in with the stage manager at the table in the lobby upon arrival.
We will have dance callbacks on August 25 at 2 p.m. Please wear clothes that you can move in, and character shoes are not necessary.

We invite everyone to audition and look forward to working with you.
