The Research and Innovation team offers a variety of events and initiatives to cultivate interprofessional collaboration opportunities, celebrate scholarly research and innovation efforts and to learn more about our services.
College of Health and Human Services faculty and staff are encouraged to monitor their emails for updates regarding upcoming events and initiatives.
Research & Innovation Day
Research and Innovation Day, held annually during the College of Health and Human Services' Health and Human Services Week, provides an opportunity to celebrate the scholarly and innovation efforts of college faculty, staff and students. Typical programming includes a keynote speaker; distinguished CHHS researcher presentation; scientific poster showcase and a three-minute thesis challenge.
Coffee Hours
Coffee Hours provide a setting for faculty to gather, introduce themselves, discuss their research interests and plans and develop potential interprofessional relationships. They can also serve as a platform for research faculty to share their ongoing projects and needs, information regarding funding opportunities, and internal and external policies related to research and scholarship.
Faculty Writing Circle
Busy research faculty can benefit from a designated time and location away from their offices where they can concentrate on study design, methodology and reporting strategies free from interruption, elicit colleague feedback regarding proposal concepts and operations, outline and draft manuscripts and share in peer-to-peer support.
