The biggest misconception about any honors program is that its students are secluded bookworms. That's never been the case in the UNCW Honors College, where our goal is to help you get as engaged as possible outside the classroom.
Honors students can be found in almost every one of UNCW's 250+ student organizations – more often than not you'll find them on the leadership teams of those clubs.
Honors College students are student leaders, researchers, interns, volunteers. They plan benefit concerts and beach sweeps. They film documentaries and write novels.
They mentor younger folks and collaborate with older ones. They found new organizations and even nonprofits. They leave UNCW's campus better than they found it.
And then they go to write their stories as graduates, to leave the broader world better than they found it.
