Honors Away FAQ
No, but it is highly encouraged for all students! There are endless places to go and tons of support resources to get you there. We think education abroad is so valuable that, if you do for 6+ weeks, Honors will even waive your "extras" section in our curriculum!
You are not limited to a certain number! If you want to attend and find it valuable, we encourage you to do as many trips as you can!
While the Honors College does not currently offer its own funding for study abroad or away programs, we do provide funds to Education Abroad for scholarships specifically designated for Honors students studying abroad. Additionally, Honors heavily subsidizes the cost of several programs, such as the Lyceum trip, to help keep costs low for students. You can explore Education Abroad scholarship opportunities here.
Education Abroad trips can be applied for through their portal.
