Parts of a Thesis Paper
Spring 2025: February 19, 4-5pm in King Hall 202 with Dr. Nathan Pilkington
Attendees will learn about:
- Scholarly writing
- Typical thesis structure
- Stages of the writing process
- Dealing with writer's block
- Sharing your work
This workshop includes hands-on activities in which attendees examine completed student Honors theses/papers to understand the structure.
Writing Literature Reviews
Spring 2025: February 24, 4:30-5:30pm in King Hall 202 with Dr. Danielle Daidone
This interactive workshop will help you with all stages of writing a literature review, from deciding what studies to include to how to word your sentences.
Scientific Writing
Spring 2025: March 12, 4-5pm in King Hall 202 with Dr. Erica Noles
Discover scientific writing techniques: Cover key elements, organize sections, write concisely, and use APA formatting. Gain insights from strong examples and valuable resources for your projects and thesis.
Data Analysis & the Statistical Collaboration and Training Center (SCTC)
Spring 2025: March 17, 4-5pm in King Hall 201 with Dr. Yishi Wang
This workshop provides an overview of the key components of statistical analysis. Students will also learn about the services offered by the Statistical Collaboration and Training Center (SCTC). The session concludes with a Q&A to address any research questions related with statistics.
