Taking Flight: Namecard Pickup

DE Students, review the reminders below for information on name card pickup. 

What to Expect

• Bring your OneCard (if you have one!). When you arrive, you'll be asked to scan into the event.
  • If you do not have a OneCard, please bring your 850 number with you!
• Get in line to pick up your name card. The lines will be divided by the first initial of your last name.
• Confirm your name card data is correct. This includes the spelling of your name, college, and degree. If anything is incorrect, we will have staff at the Name Card Pickup Help Desk to discuss your options.

Important Reminders

• You are not required to RSVP for Name Card Pickup - simply stop by during the hours listed above.
• MAIN CAMPUS graduates are required to pick up their name card prior to Commencement day during the Taking Flight times above.
• In addition to the times listed above, DISTANCE EDUCATION graduates may also pick up their name cards starting 1 hour prior to their assigned Commencement ceremony in Hanover Gym (Hanover Hall).
• For accuracy and security, you are required to pick up your own name card - others will not be able to do so on your behalf. If you're unable to attend Taking Flight, please plan to arrive at Hanover Gym at least 1 hour before your ceremony start time to ensure you have enough time to pick up your name card before graduate line-up begins.
• Main Campus students who will be out of town during the event times will be permitted to pick up their name cards prior to the ceremony in Hanover Gym.

Celebrate your achievements alongside family and friends as we welcome you to the UNCW Alumni Association!
 
During the Commencement Toast, you'll have the opportunity to meet and network with alumni and staff, and all graduates will receive a commemorative champagne flute to keep. 

The event is free to attend, with hors d'oeuvres and refreshments served, in addition to the champagne toast.
 
If you have not yet made your class gift to receive a philanthropy cord to wear during commencement, you can easily do so when registering for this event.
