Commencement Ceremonies

UNCW's commencement ceremonies provide eligible students campus-wide the opportunity to "walk across the stage" in Trask Coliseum as degrees are conferred. In addition to the formal ceremony in Trask Coliseum, many colleges, schools, departments and organizations host their own graduation celebrations.

Required Event

Taking Flight: Namecard Pickup

Wednesday, December 11 | 10:30 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Azalea Coast Room, 2nd Fl., Fisher University Union (above the Post Office)

All MAIN CAMPUS graduates are required to pick up their name card during Taking Flight prior to Commencement Day.

Distance Education graduates local to the Wilmington area are strongly encouraged to pick up their name cards during Taking Flight to avoid the lines on Commencement day. In addition to the times listed above, DISTANCE EDUCATION graduates may also pick up their name cards starting 1 hour prior to their assigned Commencement ceremony in Hanover Gym (Hanover Hall).
