With 2025 revisions, Chancellor Volety created new organizational structures to oversee, monitor and implement UNCW’s Strategic Plan. The following teams provide oversight and monitor the plan.
SOAR
Strategic Planning Oversight and Responsibility (SOAR) focuses on long-term strategy and big-picture goals.

Strategic Action Leads will work with SOAR to provide regular updates to the campus community on progress toward their respective strategic priorities and objectives. Additionally, the Strategic Action Leads work with numerous committees, working groups, and campus units to implement and manage daily activities and initiatives supporting the plan.
