Alpha Epsilon Delta is the National Health Paraprofessional Honor Society dedicated to the encouragement and recognition of excellence in preprofessional health scholarship, including medicine, dentistry, veterinary, and others. The Society welcomes ALL students engaged in the pursuit of a professional healthcare career. AED offers opportunities for intellectual and professional development, provides a forum for students with common interests, and extends a program of service to benefit the college/university community.

Alpha Kappa Delta (AKD), the international sociology honor society, is a non-secret, democratic, international society of scholars dedicated to the ideal of Athropon Katamannthanein Diakonesin or "to investigate humanity for the purpose of service." It seeks to acknowledge and promote excellence in scholarship in the study of sociology, the research of social problems, and such other social and intellectual activities as will lead to improvement in the human condition. AKD was founded at the University of Southern California in 1920 by Dr. Emory S. Bogardus and became affiliated with the Association of College Honor Societies in 1967.

Alpha Phi Sigma National Honor Society in Criminal Justice is a nationally recognized honor society for students in the criminology and criminal justice field. Founded in 1942, Alpha Phi Sigma has grown to over 250 chapters. The society recognizes academic excellence by undergraduate and graduate students of criminology and criminal justice as well as students in law school. Alpha Phi Sigma holds its annual conference in conjunction with the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences, the national association of criminal justice professionals. Eligibility for UNCW Chapter membership includes junior or senior standing, declared major in criminology and GPA of 3.2 overall and in the major.

Membership in Beta Gamma Sigma is the highest recognition a business student anywhere in the world can receive in a business program accredited by AACSB International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Students in the upper 10 percent of the junior class (second semester), upper 10 percent of the senior class, or upper 20 percent of the graduating master's class are invited by the faculty to membership in the Society. The mission of the Beta Gamma Sigma is to encourage and honor academic achievement in the study of business, to foster personal and professional excellence, to advance the values of the Society, and to serve its lifelong members.

Delta Alpha Pi was established at the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW) in 2022. The mission of Delta Alpha Pi at UNCW is to destigmatize disability, celebrate and champion diversity, and foster a supportive community for high achieving students with disabilities. Delta Alpha Pi aims to facilitate conversations on disability and accessibility, promote self-advocacy, and engage in community events on disability-related topics. The Disability Resource Center (DRC) is proud to bring the 197th chapter of DAPi to UNCW with the designation: Theta Epsilon.

Gamma Theta Upsilon, the International Geographic Honor Society was founded in 1928 and became a national organization in 1931. Members of GTU have met academic requirements and share a background and interest in geography. GTU chapter activities support geography knowledge and awareness. Members are eligible to compete for grants that are offered on an annual basis. The UNCW chapter is Theta Delta.

Iota Iota Iota is a national college honor society which strives to maintain the feminist values central to Women's Studies and encourage diversity, egalitarianism, and supportive academic environment for all students. It was founded in 1992 at Metropolitan State College of Denver. The University of North Carolina Wilmington's chapter, Beta Nu, was established on September 3, 2010.

Kappa Delta Pi, International Honor Society in Education, is dedicated to scholarship and excellence in education. Kappa Delta Pi elects those into membership who exhibit the ideals of scholarship, high personal standards, and promise in teaching. Selection as a member of Kappa Delta Pi is based on high academic achievement, a commitment to education as a career, and a professional attitude that assures steady growth in the profession. Members of Kappa Delta Pi are a part of an international network of about 60,000 members in 550 universities, colleges, and alumni chapters located in the United States and other countries.

Mu Kappa Tau, the International Honor Society in Marketing, was founded in 1966 to recognize academic excellence and to encourage individuals seeking a lifelong commitment to an exceptional standard of ethics and achievement within the marketing discipline. Associated with more than sixty colleges and universities, Mu Kappa Tau proves to be a dynamic and ever growing organization with over 14,000 members. Marketing students with the highest academic achievement are selected by the faculty each semester to accept membership into MKT.

Phi Eta Sigma is a national college scholastic honor society for freshmen. A member of the Association of College Honor Societies, it was founded at the University of Illinois on March 22, 1923. The University of North Carolina Wilmington Chapter was chartered on March 17, 1979. The goal of Phi Eta Sigma is to encourage and reward high scholastic attainment among freshmen. [At the close of their first academic year, freshmen are eligible for membership if they have earned the required GPA.]

Phi Kappa Phi is an honor society recognizing excellence of scholarship in all academic disciplines. It was founded at the University of Maine at Orono in 1897 and numbers about 300 chapters in the United States, Puerto Rico and the Phillipines. Chapter 222 at the University of North Carolina Wilmington was chartered on May 1, 1980. Seniors and second semester juniors are elected to membership based on integrity and class standing. Graduate students and faculty may also be elected to membership.

Pi Delta Phi is the French National Honor Society for undergraduate and graduate students at accredited public and private colleges and universities in the United States. The purpose of the Society is to recognize outstanding scholarship in the French language and its literatures, to increase the knowledge and appreciation of Americans for the cultural contributions of the French-speaking world, and to stimulate and to encourage French and francophone cultural activities. A member of the Association of College Honor Societies, it was founded at the University of California, Berkeley, in 1906. The University of North Carolina at Wilmington Chapter of Pi Delta Phi, Nu Kappa, was chartered in 2003.

Sigma Theta Tau, International Nursing Honor Society, is the honor society of nursing committed to fostering excellence, scholarship and leadership in nursing to improve health care worldwide. The Society promotes the use of nursing research in health care delivery and makes its resources available to all people and institutions interested in the latest knowledge in nursing care. Sigma Theta Tau International was founded in 1922 and has a membership of more than 120,000 members active in more than 90 countries. Chapter 334 at the University of North Carolina Wilmington School of Nursing, Nu Omega Chapter, was chartered April 1994.
