Campus Robbery determined to be False Report
The alleged victim of a robbery on campus that was reported on Tuesday evening, Aug. 7, has admitted that she filed a false report and the robbery did not take place..

RE: Reported Armed Robbery
A female UNC Wilmington student reported being robbed while using an ATM outside the Warwick Center between 6:30 and 7 p.m. this evening. The suspect displayed a handgun but did not point it at the victim. The suspect is a white male in his late 20s to early 30s between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 9 inches in height. The victim described the suspect as having dirty brown curly hair, brown messy facial hair and a goatee. He was wearing a blue T-shirt under a gray hoodie and gray sweatpants. The suspect was driving an older model dark blue Honda Civic or Toyota Corolla with a dull finish and rust spots on the hood. After robbing the victim of some personal property, the suspect fled campus via Riegel Road. �
