The University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW) School of Nursing (SON) in the College of Health and Human Services (CHHS) invites applications for full-time faculty. The School of Nursing (SON) offers NLNAC and CCNE accredited undergraduate and graduate degree programs in Nursing and a non-nursing Bachelor of Science degree in Clinical Research. Located in southeastern North Carolina within minutes of the Atlantic Ocean, UNC Wilmington is one of 17 constituent campuses of the University of North Carolina. RESPONSIBILITIES:  A full-time faculty position is available in  Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing to support the department's scholarly, professional, and academic initiatives. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses (classroom and clinical). advising students, maintaining a program of research, and contributing to ongoing program development. The successful candidate will serve in a full-time tenure-track/ non-tenure faculty position with the appointment beginning with the Fall 2013 semester.

QUALIFICATIONS:   Minimal requirements include a Master's degree in Nursing. Preference will be given to candidates who have a doctorate in nursing or related area.  Nurse Practitioner and Nurse Educator certification is also preferred, but all qualified applicants will be considered.  The successful applicant must be a registered nurse with a minimum of three years in clinical practice and eligible for North Carolina licensure.  Preference is given to applicants with teaching experience in psychiatric/mental health and a record of research/scholarship.

SALARY:  Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
