Time-Limited, Temporary Part-Time Position

The University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW) invites applications for a Temporary Part-Time (25-30 hours per week) Assistant Program Director/Research Associate for a Local Food Systems Initiative. The successful candidate will join a grant funded economic development project around sustainable agriculture and local foods. We are keenly interested in applicants who have experience working with farm-to-school institutional buying arrangements in public schools, direct marketing and strong program-administration skills.
This is a two-year, grant-funded, time- limited position. Candidates must have an MA in Nutrition or related field and have experience working with Nutrition Directors and Purchasing Directors in Public Schools. Principal duties include overseeing program objectives of local food systems initiative by expanding direct farm-to-market sales for Southeastern North Carolina, including securing institutional buying relationships with public schools, military bases, hospitals, restaurants and grocery chains.
