Sport Club Council
The Sport Club Council (SCC) is comprised of representatives from each Sport
Club at UNCW. The SCC serves as the umbrella organization representing the
member clubs to the Student Government Association.
The SCC promotes
participation in the program and has the primary goal to encourage the formation
of new sport clubs at UNCW. The SCC meets monthly to provide a medium for the
exchange of information regarding club activities, fund raising, policies and
procedures.
Sport Club Council Mission Statement
The Sport Club Council (SCC) at UNCW represents a unique segment
of student life and serves as a governing body to all active sport clubs.
Member clubs benefit through funding, networking, administrative
training, and receive guidance in club operations. Individual self-worth is
enhanced through experiential learning, intentional leadership opportunities,
personal responsibility and acquisition of lifelong skills.
SCC members
model effective communication and promote individual health through active
lifestyle by providing a variety of opportunities for involvement thus enhancing
the campus community.
