Moezzi wins Wilbur

Melody Moezzi’s memoir The Rumi Prescription was honored with a 2021 Wilbur Award. Comparable to the Emmys/Tonys/Oscars, the annual Wilbur Award recognizes two-dozen individuals for excellence in the secular media in communicating religious issues, values, and themes.

UNCW alumnus Jason Mott's (BFA '06, MFA '08) fourth novel Hell of a Book is the winner in fiction for the 2021 National Book Award—one of the most prestigious literary prizes in the world.
